Laboratorio de Adaptación Climática y Gestión del Bosque (ACGB.Lab)
Para ello, se utilizan y obtienen datos de ecosistemas forestales, a partir de diversas fuentes y a diferentes escalas, para su análisis e interpretación mediante herramientas que permitan asistir la toma de decisiones en el ámbito de la gestión, planificación y producción sostenible de dichos ecosistemas. Las herramientas utilizadas por los investigadores varían dependiendo del contexto y especificidad de los datos a analizar, los cuales pueden provenir de fuentes tanto remotas como de ensayos in-situ (sensores, cámaras, inventarios, etc) y mediciones a nivel de individuos o especies (variables ecofisiológicas).
El equipo ACGB.Lab está compuesto por el Profesor Andrés Plaza-Aguilar y la Ingeniera Forestal Paula Basualto Santana. Además, tiene como colaborador al Ingeniero Forestal Matías Villalobos Pizarro.

Climate Adaptation and Forest Management Laboratory (ACGB.Lab)
The Laboratory aims to address key research gaps related to the analysis and modelling of climate adaptation in forests and forest plantations, integrating the dimensions of sustainable development into forest management to improve their health and resilience while optimizing their efficiency to contribute to mitigating the climate crisis.
To achieve this, data from forest ecosystems are used and obtained from various sources and at different scales for analysis and interpretation through tools that assist decision-making in the management, planning, and sustainable production of these ecosystems. The tools used by researchers vary depending on the context and specificity of the data to be analysed, which may come from both remote sources and in-situ trials (sensors, cameras, inventories, etc.) and measurements at the individual or species level (ecophysiological variables).
The ACGB.Lab team is led by Professor Andrés Plaza-Aguilar and composed of Eng (BSc) Paula Basualto-Santana and Eng. (BSc) Katerin Rojas-Quintanilla. Additionally, Matías Villalobos Pizarro collaborates with the team.
